Arts and crafts have always been a part of my DNA! I recall my grandmother teaching me to crochet, my aunt teaching me to cross-stitch, my mother sewing everthing from winter coats to swimsuits! I watched in fascination as my mother took an oil painting class. My uncles would draw and doodle on everything and I wanted to be just like them when I grew up. I wandered in to our community college when my youngest finished high school and I wandered out with a studio arts degree, Phi Beta Kappa with Honors!

I enjoy hiking in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by these hikes in nature. I love recreating plants and wildlife in my work.
