About Me
My Background
I am currently the art department head at Firmly Planted Resource Center. I teach over 15 ceramics classes from ages 3 to adult. In my spare time, I'm working on creating new bodies of work with colored clay and building my own sprig molds. I love functional wares with flare and enjoy mixing texture and glaze applications to create unique moods within my pieces. I'm forever learning and growing my skill set to generate new and beautiful pottery for home use.
My Medium
I create with porcelain and stoneware clay bodies. I enjoy carving as well as using mason stains to create slips and colored clay pieces.
My Inspiration
I enjoy hiking in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by these hikes in nature. I love recreating plants and wildlife in my work.
